Language Day

Last April 24th, Colmilagro School celebrated Language Day with a special flag ceremony to honor literature, culture, and the importance of language in our society. During this meaningful event, students had the opportunity to demonstrate different talents and abilities such as creativity, interpretation, dancing, public speaking, and artistic expression.

Throughout the celebration, the school community enjoyed a variety of performances, including traditional trovas, coplas, dances, storytelling, theatrical interpretations, and musical presentations. Each activity was carefully prepared by the students to highlight the richness of language and cultural identity.

In addition, students created a variety of stands dedicated to honoring important Colombian and Venezuelan authors. These stands displayed relevant information about the writers’ lives, literary works, achievements, and contributions to Hispanic literature. Visitors had the chance to learn more about their stories, writing styles, and the impact they have had on generations of readers.

This celebration was not only an opportunity to recognize famous authors, but also a moment to encourage students to appreciate reading, writing, and oral traditions. It was truly rewarding to see students actively participate, value literary heritage, and express admiration for the works created by these remarkable authors.

Overall, Language Day was a successful and enriching experience for the entire school community, strengthening our appreciation for literature and cultural diversity.
